In 2014 my wife and I moved into a new neighborhood. I met one of our neighbors that started his own graphic design business. He shared stories of long days and late nights in the beginning when he and his partner were getting their business started. I'm sure this is a common occurrence with any entrepreneur. Prior to starting his company he worked for others and did freelance work, but decided he wanted to do something more and has built his company ever since.
I enrolled in ENT3003 to satisfy a portion of my Business degree. After watching the first lecture I'm excited to learn how entrepreneurs think. I've typically been one to think it's not possible to be an entrepreneur so I'm hoping to gain insight on how to think like an entrepreneur.

Thats cool that you're coming from such a different walk of life than a lot of us. This will likely provide us with a new perspective throughout the course and I look forward to seeing what you post. That's impressive that you guys started your own business and perhaps you'll share more about it in the future. Thinking like an entrepreneur is very important and its cool that you already have that mindset going for you, that will be of great benefit in this course as well.
ReplyDeleteHello Jason, Thank you for sharing! I actually felt the same way after watching Professor Pryor's first lecture! I, too, am excited to learn how to think like an entrepreneur since, before this class, I always thought that entrepreneurship was a gift that some people were born with while others are not. I also agree with Kyrstin^ that it is very interesting to have fellow students in different stages of their life going through the same class as us!
ReplyDeleteHi Jason! I like your entrepreneur story. It is great that you got to meet someone that has been through the struggle of starting his own business. I too enrolled in this class to meet a requirement for my business degree. I hope this class teaches you how to think like and maybe even become an entrepreneur
ReplyDeleteHi Jason,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your "Entrepreneurship Story"! That's really cool that your neighbors own their own graphic design business, I actually intern for a business that does something similar. It's even better that they are entrepreneurs! They probably have a lot of helpful insight that you could apply to this course. I'm glad you're excited for this class, it really does have a lot of great experiences to learn from.
Looking forward to future posts!
